Saxon Crown masters’ swimming squad continue to go from strength to strength enjoyed an impressive set of results at the at the Kent count championships in Gillingham. We sent our largest team to the competition and returned home with 21 gold medals, 17 silvers and 10 bronzes. The team also broke five county records at the event.

Jenny Browne improved her own record in the 25-29 age group 100m backstroke, as well as breaking a new county record in the 50m backstroke in a time of 32.71s. Rebecca Stewart also improved her own county records in three events. The team’s record breaking performance, and 27 personal bests, meant the club finished third overall. John Eady’s goal for Saxon Crown to be the best masters’ squad in Kent is on track but the team is keen to attract more swimmers aged 50 and over in order to achieve this.
