Saxon Crown Swimming Club

As part of the Lewisham Aquatic Development Plan, Saxon Crown swimming club are holding a Swimming Festival on Saturday 4th February 2012 at Wavelengths Leisure Centre, Griffin Street, Deptford, SE8 4RJ. The aim of the festival is to encourage young swimmers in school years three, four, five and six who have reached level 7 of the ASA national plan to develop their skills and provide opportunities to join a Swim 21 accredited swimming club.

The festival is for primary school age swimmers who have been invited to attend by their swimming or school teacher. If you are in level 7 or above, and would like to come to the Festival but haven't recieved an invitation please speak to your teacher or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Registration will be at 4pm and the swimming session will be from 4:30-5:30pm.

The festival will be led by a fully qualified coach who will introduce in a fun and welcoming environment, the skills and stroke techniques used in competitive swimming. These will be demonstrated by some of the senior swimmers from Saxon Crown swimming club, Lewisham’s Borough club.

There is no cost for this festival and swimmers will be talent spotted and possibly invited to attend a Swimming Development Camp during the February Half Term. You will be informed of your selection to the camp at the end of the festival.

Congratulations to the Following swimmers who have been selected to represent Saxon Crown Swimming Club in the Tudor Swimming League, You will be required to swim in all rounds of this competition;

Saxon Crown will be taking a team to the Black Lion Open Meet at Medway Park, Gillingham on 21st & 22nd April 2012. This is a Level 3 Licensed open meet and therefore suitable for swimmers in Pre Squad, Junior Squads & Top Squads.
