Entry level Groups
Our Entry Level sessions follow the Swim England Learn to Swim (LTS) stages. Appropriate swimwear must be worn by the participants.
Due to the current pool availability, we cannot offer lessons to a non-swimmer or children who are not confident in 25m pools.
At the end of each term we will assess swimmers. Those who meet the criteria may be promoted/moved to another group.
Piranhas is the equivalent of the Swim England LTS Stages 5/6 and is our entry level squad.
The main aim of this squad is to teach swimmers front crawl over 40m, backstroke over 20m and breaststroke over 15m.
Swimmers will also learn the dolphin kick, alongside other complementary skills that will be needed at later stages of their development.
Pool time available: 1h per week
Individuals need to have completed Stage 4 of the Swim England teaching plan and to have participated in Stage 5 for a minimum of one term.
Equipment: Appropriate swimwear must be worn: one piece costume for girls and no shorts for boys. Swimmers with long hair will also need a hat, and swimming goggles are also advised (preferably clear)
At the end of each term, we will assess swimmers. Those who meet the criteria may be promoted/moved to the next group
At the completion of this stage you may purchase the Stage 6 certificate.
