John Redding Open - 18th & 19th June 2022

On 18th and 19th of June a team of swimmers travelled to Medway Park to participate in the John Redding Open Meet organised by Black Lion SC. Three windows right in the middle of the poolside were allocated to our 64 swimmers who entered this event. Our swimmers ranged for 9 to 20 years old, some veterans and many at their first experience. There was a very friendly atmosphere poolside and it was great to see all of the swimmers mingling together whilst cheering their fellow team members on.
There were many great swims, lots of pbs, lots of medals and some early Kent times achieved. Our team was very well represented on all fronts including parents in charge of the loud cheering! Overall a fantastic weekend full of challenges, experience and a fun time!

The Kent County Championships 2024 included 31 Saxon Crown qualifiers and they did us proud achieving 78 PBs, 59 top 10 finalists and 7 bronze medalists.
The boys and girls teams both finished in15th place giving us an overall placing of 14th amongst the 36 clubs in Kent. Well done all and special congratulations to the following for achieving bronze medals!
